My name is Mrs. Scott and I will be your child's teacher for the 2017-2018 school year.  This is my eighth year teaching 3rd grade at Eastern Elementary School.  Prior to that I taught reading intervention for grades 3-5 at Eastern.

I graduated from Shippensburg University with my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and I am certified to teach K-6 in Pennsylvania and 1-6 in Maryland.  In addition, I obtained my master's degree in reading in 2016 from Wilkes University.  I am a Certified Reading Specialist for grades Pre K - 12 and Special Education Content in the state of Maryland.

 

I live in Waynesboro, PA with my husband, 3 kids, and 2 dogs.  My boys are 15 and 11 and my duaghter is 19.  She is studying Anthropology at the University of Pittsburgh!  I have a bloodhound puppy who is 3 named Gus, and a German Short Haired Pointer who is 4 named Molli.  In my spare time I love to read, take photographs, be outdoors, and do things with my family.

My goal for this school year is to help every student grow and reach their full potential in and out of the classroom.  We stick to a growth mindset attitude and never give up!  I am a firm believer in open communication so please do not hesitate to contact me at any time throughout the  year.
